Southern Men’s Shed Network - Suspension of Meetings


Dear SMS Network Supporters,

Due to the current situation and advice regarding the Corona Virus outbreak, we are suspending future meetings until it is deemed safe to resume.

We are regarded as a vulnerable group for this pandemic. As a result many of our local and regional Sheds have already closed in order to protect their members, as we would not wish to encourage anyone to put themselves at unnecessary risk.

The key advice from the Government and NHS (www.nhs.uk/coronavirus) is to keep a Social Distance
(Not Socially Isolate), so why not attempt to stay in touch with your fellow shed members by using the WhatsApp phone app and setting up a WhatsApp Group (other apps are available, this one is available to both Apple and Android phones). This is not just a text application but can make audio / video calls as well as send pictures, videos and other documents. A very useful tool at times like this.
Alternatively, there is also phone and email.

We can of course also communicate more widely using the forum on the SMSN site, using the link below.
Remember that anything posted on the Forum will automatically be included in the next Newsletter (which goes out every Saturday morning to over 120 subscribers).
